Maybe you’ve been dreaming of study abroad for years, or maybe listening to friends make plans has led you to consider it for the first time. Study abroad has enormous benefits – developing expertise in another culture, increasing your knowledge of both yourself and the world, learning about your major from a different perspective, improving your proficiency in another language, perhaps doing fieldwork and/or thesis research, and of course seeing the world, making new friends, and having a great time.
At the same time, study abroad may raise specific concerns for parents or students. The University Passport team prides itself on the personal attention we give each family in this process. We work closely with you to identify programs that fit students’ goals, needs, and level of preparation, and incorporate detailed pre-departure advice into our conversations.
