Carolyn Sorkin

Carolyn Sorkin, President of University Passport, has specialized in higher education for over 30 years: on the board of admission at Brown University, in education abroad at Wesleyan University, and in area studies and scholarly research at New York University.

Since 2014, she has led University Passport, an independent education consulting firm helping students and families identify best-fit programs and submit compelling applications for college, graduate or professional school, and related opportunities. She specializes in developing students’ writing, research, and communication skills, key both during the application process and throughout their education.

As for her own education, Dr. Sorkin earned a BA in History at Brown University, an MA in Educational Administration and Policy Analysis at Stanford University, and a PhD in Education at NYU. Dr. Sorkin participates actively in professional associations and pro bono work alike.
