Where is University Passport located?
We are conveniently located in Connecticut – the heart of the Ivy League and numerous other top institutions of higher education.
Do I have to be local to work with University Passport?
We regularly work with students from around the world via Skype; in fact, in 2014-15, more than half our students are from outside the US.
How many hours should I expect to work with University Passport?
This varies by student and category; college-bound seniors spend an average of 30 hours working with us across the course of several months.
Do you speak languages other than English? Dr. Sorkin is fluent in Spanish and proficient in both French and Portuguese.
Can you help with essay writing? Absolutely! University Passport provides extensive consulting on writing personal statements and supplemental essays; we will help you find your voice and fine-tune your writing samples.
Can you help me with study abroad?
Of course! Dr. Sorkin has many years of experience placing students in wonderful study abroad programs in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
Do you work with students interested in gap-year or summer programs?
Definitely. Finding the right fit is essential for these programs, and requires close collaboration with University Passport staff.
